Founded in 2016 by the Katrenyak brothers, IMKAT Homes began as a water restoration and drywall repair company. By 2019, we expanded into general contracting, specializing in home remodels, new construction, and commercial projects.
In 2020, we built our first custom Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) in Sacramento. By the end of 2021, we committed to becoming Bay Area’s leading ADU builder, dedicated to designing and constructing high-quality, functional ADUs.

Humble Beginnings
In 2016 Ivan Katrenyak started his first construction company called Imkat Construction. Starting with water restoration and drywall repair projects, they built a reputation for transforming damaged homes into beautiful, livable spaces.
Expanding Expertise
In 2019, Vitaly Katrenyak joined MKAT Construction and helped transform Imkat into a full service general remodeler and new home building company.
